Paul Edwards is a director hailing from Southeast Missouri whose work reflects a dynamic range of theatrical vision and international scope. His directing credits include collaborations with New World Stages, wild project, Theatre Aspen, The New York Musical Festival, The Actors Studio, The St. Louis Black Rep, The New Jewish Theatre Company, St. Louis Shakespeare, Broadway Bound Theatre Festival, and Playthings Theatre Company. His artistry has also extended abroad, having directed in Beijing with 77 Theatre.

Currently, Paul serves as Festival Director for the East Village Queer Film Festival at wild project in New York City, where he continues to champion bold, inclusive storytelling. More information about the festival can be found HERE.

Paul most recently directed The Vampire, a haunting and evocative one-man play by Alec Silberblatt, conceived and developed in a parish and crypt in northern Manhattan. The piece was subsequently workshopped at Theatre Aspen’s Solo Flights Festival in September 2025, where it was honored with one of the 2025 SOLO FLIGHTS FESTIVAL GRANTS.
